Ricky Dillard...Gay!?!?!

I recently heard what might be a rumor. Ricky Dillard is gay. I knew something was up when I seen him perform last year, but I just played it off. I discovered this rumor when I was watching a youtube video performance of him and "New G". The comments were literally all about his sexuality and the performance was obsolete to say the least. The entire page was a forum for condemning his sexuality.

I thought, " Wow, he gay and he sings gospel." Then I had to rethink the whole situation. " I know plenty of people who are gay and sing gospel; and even preach for that matter."

Is it better if someone is open in terms of their sexuality or is it better for them to keep it to themselves. Would it be more acceptable for Ricky to not shed light on his sexuality...if that were the case.

Employed...Again

I am so elated! I finally got my job back after being laid off for four months. God is good! We had a chat last night (God and myself) and I basically told him that I want everything back that the devil had stolen from me; I guess we had an understanding. We tight like that.

Although I was laid off, I never really wanted for anything. I was blessed to receive unemployment even up until now, but I know that I needed that feeling of independence...And I finally got it again. I want to take care of myself, make my own money, buy my own things...ya digg? Oh yeah and finish school.

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY...

Last year was a horrible economic year but I am optimistic about this one!!!

Disguise

We are definitely conditioned by our society. . .

Remember back a couple of years ago when J L King's DL (down low) movement came about. It was the latest craze. Homosexuality was shunned, but it seemed that everyone flocked to the topic without any hesitation. It was on television stations. In churches. And just everyday convo. Guys thought, "well, I ain't gay if nobody knows or if I do not act effeminate."

Recently, I have seen another sizzling subject that is making the headlines. Gay for Pay. This is basically guys who say they are not gay but they are compensated to appear in a gay porn...Its a gay porn. Straight people do not participate in gay porn...for any amount of money ( I guess everyone has a limit though)

Now, there is a new movement called g0y. G0ys are guys that seek intimacy from other guys and sexual attention that is restricted to oral sex only. They despise the effeminate and anal sex, and most are conservative Christians. In a sense, these are the hypocritical men who rally in the streets against homosexuality, but perform acts as only a homosexual would.

I said all of that to say this, at the end of the day, no matter how you dress it up; a man that has sex with another man is gay. The media has sensationalized gay people as the stereotypical, flamboyant queen that only depicts a small percentage of the gay community. Gay people are diverse, talented, genuine, loving, kind, mean, rude, pleasant, distinguished and much more than that 2-dimensional characters in the media. We are are human with emotions, dream, and aspirations.

Bliss...Somewhat

OMG!!!! Today is so gorgeous. God is truly amazing, because I know that no one else besides him can display this beauty. Today should be a day when you take it easy and just pay attention and be grateful just for the little things...Even if you can only do that for one second. Nonetheless, you owe it to yourself.

Today would be a great day to spend with a lover but there is no one in sight. Let me tell you about myself. I am a gay black male that thinks my sexual orientation is my business and my business only; it has nothing to do with anyone else. Now that that is out of the way...I think that sort have backfired just a tad. I can not find a cool dude to kick it with and be intimate if I feel the need for it. I am surrounded by straight men for the most part (with the exception of a couple). I always see a guy that I like and he seems to be interested, and I throw out some bait. It seems that he bites down and understands the flirtatious gesture, but when I reel in to pull that fish out of the sea I only find the hook. Ughh!!!!!!!!!!

Frustrating.

Fortunately, it is a beautiful day and I forgot how good it felt to wear shorts...I have got to incorporate these into my wardrobe more. Ravaging.

One Missed Call

It is officially Spring...

As I caress the road in a red 2009 Impala sprinkled with rain and plastered with dogwood leaves, my phone rings. I look to see who is calling and do not recognize the number so I let them leave a message on the voicemail. I was prompted with an alert when the message was sent.

I check my message and it is this man with a serious tone. He expresses how he is saddened by the unfortunate events that had taken place...The message was for the person who occupied the number before myself.

Why am I the recipient of telephone numbers recycled too soon? My last phone obviously belonged to a very prominent person in the music industry. I would receive calls from producer, artist, and just friends...I had messages on my phone from LeAnn Rhimes and texts from someone by the name of Ryan Reynolds. It got to the point where more call were coming for the prior owner than myself.

But I truly do feel for this recent person. I receive about witnessing a murder on the regular. I hope she is ok and she connects with the people who are trying to reach her.

I think I might post some celebrity phone numbers. Maybe....

What the Hell Does it Matters

I came home and caught the ass-end of President Obama's news press conference. Tell me why did I hear the issue of race come up again. I really do not get why race is such an issue in America. I mean you have to put down your race to take a damn test. Now that is insane.
I mean everybody knows he is black...We found that out when his name was on the ballet. Why the hell is everyone talking about, " How has the race issue impacted you?" I'm like , "Well damn bitch, ain't you gon' ask him about the war and the economy?"
I guess they just want to piss him off; and that is why God put him in office because I never seen him lose his temper or anything.
Now his wife on the other hand looks like she would speak your ass out...

I can't deal...Lol!
